We had many conversations as to where our last trip in Europe should take us, and while I would have never thought that Prague would have been on the list, I had heard many wonderful things about it, and after visiting I am so thrilled that we took the opportunity to visit. It was much more wonderful than I could have ever imagined. But then again, I really am not sure what I expected, as I didn’t know that much about it. It was a welcomed calm after the busyness that is London.
We arrived early afternoon and caught the train from the airport into the city. This time around we rented a flat and it was in the perfect location, and was wonderful. The guy that we rented from was very kind and even sent me an email prior to our arrival with a list of suggested restaurants and bars. When we arrived in Prague it was raining, so we took time and relaxed in our spacious flat 🙂 and then set out a couple hours later to investigate the town. We ended up having a wonderful late lunch / early dinner at one of the restaurants that Marko suggested. It is unbelievable how cheap the beer and food is in Prague. $1-$2 for a beer?!?!? I could get used to this!

We then wandered around a bit before heading back and crashing. The next morning I had arranged for a walking tour which led us around Prague to see all of it’s major sites. After seeing The Astronomical Clock, visiting The Old Town and The New Town, our tour ended and Nick and I made our way across the river to Prague’s Castle. Then we made a quick visit to see a Frank Gehry project, Fred and Ginger (or The Dancing House) and made our way back to the flat for a short rest before heading out for our last night in Prague.
