Sunday’s adventures took us to The Scottish Highlands, all the way up to Loch Ness in hopes of a sighting of Nessie, the mythical Lochness monster! Our tour guide for the day was a true Scottsman, Kenny, complete with kilted dress. We made our way through The Highlands taking in the sights, which included lakes, rivers, waterfalls, mountains, red deer, sheep and hairy cows!

Mid day we arrived at Loch Ness, grabbed a bite to eat to enjoy on the boat that we were boarding to tour Loch Ness! Unfortunatly, there were no Nessie sights, but the views were beautiful! We even cruised past the ruins of Urquhart Castle, a 13th Century Castle, built on the edge of Loch Ness.

We really enjoyed the tour, we couldnt have asked for a better day. As Kenny promised at the beginning we experienced all types of weather, sun, rain, cold and even some snow! It was interesting to me how black Loch Ness was, as we were motoring through it, water splashing up along the side it almost appeared that we were riding through coffee.
After our return to Edinburgh we decided to grab a bite to eat at one of the pubs we visited the night before. We checked in with the digital world, and I called and wished Katie a Happy 30th Birthday (wow I’m old – my baby sister is 30!!!!!) Shortly after we sat down a lady that had been on our day trip walked in and we invited her to join us. She is from Germany and was in Edinburg for a week taking English classes. We enjoyed our last meal and pints in Scotland, now off to Amsterdam for our next adventure!
