Yesterday Nick and ventured out and walked down to the Port. On our way down to the port, we stumbled upon the beautiful Basilica SS. Annunciation del Vastato, hard to believe that construction of this masterpiece was started in 1520!
After a short stop in the basilica we made our way to the port, you could tell this was the touristy part if town, they have tons of eateries and vendors. We walked out to the end of the dock and the view back into the city was amazing!
The yachts along the harbor were beautiful, Nick had his eye on this fully blacked out version, complete with jet ski and a boat…
On our way back home, we had our first granita at a little gellato shop tucked within the small streets of Genoa.
Unfortunately we walked beyond our planned grocery store stop, so we headed back to the villa for another evening of pasta and bread 🙂 After phone calls home we attempted to head to bed, but this time change is still messing with me and again I was up until at least 1 am, I am sure it will get better.
More to come….
