On Tuesday Nate, Rebecca and I took advantage of the beautiful day and went to Cinque Terre. I have been wanting to visit since we moved here and so glad that my first visit was shared with them. We hiked from Monterosso to Vernazza, which took us about three hours. I’m still trying to figure out how the students hiked all five, what champs! When we arrived in Vernazza we were starving, but there was little open. We finally found a little bar that was serving pizzas and soup. We grabbed a bite to eat and I had some local white wine and then caught the train back to Genova. The weather, the scenery and the company could not have been better today! Cinque Terre was amazing and I can’t wait to bring my other visitors back. But fair warning for those of you wishing to visit, get those legs and lungs ready, this was by no means a leisurely hike.
