Our Tuesday day trip this week was to Milan again, where this time we visited modern architecture.  Needless to say a lot different then our last visit – lol.  We visited a local university whose main building was designed by two women architects out of Dublin.  Then we were able to spend some time in Milan’s 20th century museum, the Novacento. We were able to take our time and wonder through the museum, Nick really enjoyed the works of art on the first floor as they represented much of what he has taught this past semester.

We had a nice lunch at a pizzaria right next to the museum, and enjoyed some of the best pizza that we have had while we have been here (do I say that in every post?).  For dessert we had a simple, but delicious fruit salad.

We finished our day visiting Milan’s newest city district complete with housing, shopping and coffee shops.  While the students explored and found the largest Foosball table I have ever seen, Nick, Giudi and I enjoyed some warm drinks on a brisk day inside a bookstore.  I am really starting to like the hot chocolates over here, much different then what we have in the US that is for sure, but I am sure much more fattening too 🙂
